About the Event
Hosted by the Faux Finish School in Louisville, Kentucky, Connie Harris, a master decorative painter with more than 30 years of experience in the field, is set to teach the ancient art of Chinoiserie, particularly Decor Chinois as it applies to decorative painting in the design world.
Chinoiserie is the imitation or evocation of Chinese motifs and techniques in Western art, furniture, and architecture, especially in the 18th century.
Students will learn the application of four different colorways with various components of the Decor Chinois patterns, creating samples on four impressive 24" x 36" wood panels using the Faux Effects® product lines. Additionally, students will complete four 18" x 24" coordinating ceiling finishes, utilizing the extensive Faux Effects® product lines as well. Students will be able to take these panels home to be used to present the finishes to clients and the design/build world.
Connie will share all of her techniques and skills that have brought her to the top of the industry. Students will learn shortcuts and organization skills that help to make their work more efficient.
Your $995 registration includes continental breakfasts, catered lunches, all materials and all samples.
